The Mother Slug Combinations were,
2612 - 101
2613 - 102 and followed this sequence.
The Santa Fe used Them in the Potash Mine service at Carlsbad, NM.
They were built strictly for this use. They were used in combinations of
2, 3, and 4 sets. 4 sets could pull 13,000 tons of Potash at a low speed
of 2 miles per hour continuously.
